OK. This could take a while.

Andy Warrington (GK): Best keeper at the club since Mike Pollitt (possibly even better than him at commanding his area). On a 2 year deal so will still be around.

Dale Tonge (RB): Best right back at the club since, erm, well ever. It's not been a good position for us, and hence some of the boo boys will get stuck into whoever plays there. 2 year deal, yada yada

Graham Coughlan (CB): Has brought on the rest of the defence with his masterful display of leadership. Had a couple of worryingly poor performances which ultimately caused our cup exit. 2 years...

Marc Joseph (Utility defender): Not played much. Been ill with various things, but looked OK when he played. Off the pace though. 2y

Andy Tood (CM): Not lived up to expectations really, considering he was Accrington's star player last season. Started the season in the team, now tends to warm the bench. 2y

Danny Harrison (CM): This guy can be utterly invisibile for several games on the trot, before popping up with a couple of goals. 2y

Mark Hudson (CM): Injures in pre-season, and missed the first 2 months. It's no coincidence that we're unbeaten in the league since he got fit. 2y.

Peter Holmes (Winger): Like Todd, started the season but now warms the bench. Will be remembered for a free kick goal early in the season but little else.

Derek Holmes (ST): Wins headers, but where the knockdowns go is anyone's guess. Tends to score a couple of goals and then get complacent. Just back from 4 weeks out with an injury and scored on Saturday. We're seriously short of goals up front, so he needs to keep playing well.

Tom Cahill (ST): Youngster signed on a wing and a prayer. Made one sub appearance, had one one-on-one chance. Fluffed it and has now disappeared. Ironic since Robins is playing all our home grown youth in the side...

Have I missed anyone? m_m will be along soon to tell me, I'm sure.

villa:

carson - fantastic, need to make it permanent asap
knight - despite the jokes he's done reasonably well so far in defence, and I am happy, don't see him being there long term mind.
davis c. - not got into first team as yet really, debut was poor in the league cup, so can't comment really.
harewood - awful, not contributed anything so far in his miserably few appearances. Brought in as back up fair enough, but evidently not in MoN's plans already after woeful brief appearances. Won't stay long.
salifou - freebie togan - 1 year deal, could be good, could not, but sounds promising in the reserves atm.

The summer overall: 6/10

Good to see him keeping it up, was our player of the year last season (though you could say that wasn't hard)

Its hard to judge them when they are always injured!

Parker- seen him twice
Bellamy- has had a few injuries. Excellent when fit, especially away from home
Dyer- get well soon
Faubert- get well soon
Solano- classy player

Paul Huntington - rarely plays, but will be immense in a couple of years.

David Prutton - been excellent so far this season.

Alan Thompson - started fantastically, showing his age a bit now.

Leon Constantine - spent most of the time injured, but will be good when he gets his chance.

Andy Hughes - brilliant utility player, done very well.

Filipe da Costa - want him to succeed, shows little glimpses of why we signed him, but has a continental style of play that means he struggles to fit in over here.

That'll do.

Eduardo - has shown bits of class, again not been given a real opportunuty, time will tell but im certain he will be a success once he settles and gets a run.
whs. Sagna will be pushing for best right back in the world in the next few years.

wolves

s elliot - supposed goal poacher. hasn't particularly looked it. not played all that much due to injury
eastwood - started great, went mediocre, looking decent again. obvious ability, needs to work hard to be kept in the team
m jarvis - sounds promising, injured during pre-season. hasn't started a game. looks pacey - 'should' eventually complement kightly well
m gray - started a bit iffy, was looking good last 2 or 3 games before getting injured
d gibson - man u loanee. looks pretty good, but again hampered by injury thus fair
k foley - right back brought in from luton. didn't sound hugely exciting. absolutely fantastic player.
