A couple of other bands I've been liking lately, probably already posted. www.myspace.com/emmythegreat - Discovered at Glastonbury, absolutely fantastic. www.myspace.com/darkcaptain - Dark Captain, Light Captain. Hopefully seeing tomorrow, ex members of a band called Finlay who were fab. Mogwai/Radiohead with a bit of Damon Albarn-ish vocals.

Just finished listening to the Maccabees album. Was more impressed than i thought i would have been. I listened to favourite worst nightmare before that, and i much preferred colour it in with the exception of the odd song.

No problem. Favourite Worst Nightmare is great... just takes a while to get into it. Teddy Picker and This House is a Circus are stand-outs imo.

After much more listening to the monkeys album, think it's fantastic. Old yellow bricks, fluorescent adolescent and 505, and brianstorm are standouts IMO.
Is there more bands' albums i should be looking for if i liked the monkeys and the maccabees albums'?

New Interpol album was picked up today. Haven't had time to really listen and form an opinion on it, but superficially it seems pretty good. What do you guys think of it?
