The stuff they released on the net? I have a few of them, amongst them are Cyclops and Albion. They're quite good tbh.
Are Babyshambles as good or better than the Libertines?

not as good imo, though well worth a listen. 'shambles have done some good session stuff (as well as bootlegs), pete has some great acoustic session too which are fffffb.
'shambles new ep is good imo, sedative is a very catchy tune as is Beg, Steal or borrow. although i prefer the solo acoustic version of i love you (but you're green) comapred to the ep version.
album is pretty good (down in albion), its a grower album imo, songs of note are: loyalty song, belle et las bete, albion, killamangiro, sticks and stones.

After listening to Brianstorm properly earlier (twas on MTV2), I'm not too sure about it.
Its a good song, and I like it, but I think its a little too much like their old songs; they haven't changed that much. Also, I don't think its as good as the old singles if they're just trying to do the same thing again.
Dunno really, feels more like a teaser or trailer for the new album rather than a first single. Hope its a little different to the last one.

| The General, who features on the track Pentonville Road on Down In Albion and also drives an illegal Jaguar as a taxi drove me home last week after clubbing. Simultaneously the funniest and most scary experience of my life.

The Libertines were (and still are) my fave band despite splitting up. Got into them years ago through listening to their legs 11 sessions. I really regret not going to go see them, if they were to reform I would give an arm and a leg to go see them live.
I prefer Up The Bracket to The Libertines, mainly because it was the album that I believe really got me into to music scene, especially independant English bands.
Babyshambles are a bit hit and miss for me, though like you said it grows on you. Really liking the new stuff and eagerly anticipating the new album.
Wish Pete Doherty would sort himself out, he seems like a really decent bloke if it wasn't for the drugs. Remember when he was on Johnathan Ross' show and hes very well spoken. Great song writer too!!!

i can imagine, he's a bit dodgey at the best of times
tbh, im not a fan of the general, or purple and especially not ro.
yeah libertines can't wait for the new shambles album, supposedly got 20-30 songs .
though im more looking forward (if it ever gets done, it keeps being promised) to a pete acoustic album.
(his bsob version on jonathon ross was :thup::thup:
