Does anyone here also like Pixies? I bought Trompe Le Monde the other day, not a patch on the Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa albums (mainly due to its lack of abrasiveness imo), but its still quite good. Mate lend me Doolittle to copy as well, so good. Crackity Jones stuck in my head all day. :/
I read elsewhere they intend to start some new material for another album should Kim Deal be interested in it. :thup:
Just given the Klaxons album a listen through. They really are incredibly dull. Atlantis to Interzone the only track I would really credit.
The new Arcade Fire disappoints on first listen. It's maybe telling that the best track on it is No Cars Go - a track that origianlly featured on their pre-Funeral EP.
Bought Klaxons - 'Myths of the near future' today, believing the hype. Golden Skans so good. It's sounding decent so far. I'm not quite into all this new-rave kinda stuff, but I'm slowly getting dragged in. Shiny Toy Guns and CSS got me dancing.
Also, someone talk to me about Midlake. Someone made me a CD with Roscoe on it and I love it loads. What next, please?
