my money is they do a few superficial changes to the reform but nothing as extreme as they planned and all those who voted for them will look like muppets.

From what I've read it seems both sides were gracious enough. Hopefully things don't get any worse economically. I can live with that.

Will be interesting to see how Rudd goes on foreign policy. I imagine relations with Bush and Brown will be cooled, relative to how Howard was.

not quite the "96 reversal" i was expecting, but in howards own words, it was emphatic.

when all the counting is done, it'll probably be the biggest swing against a conservative government in australian history.

said weeks ago howard wouldn't lose bennelong, so i'm absolutely stunned by that. delighted, but stunned all the same.
