Really enjoyed the first episode of this, in the same boat as everyone else about the Quantum Leap thingy.
Was getting annoyed that everyone didn't believe him at first, but then again thats part of the fun.
Hopefully there will be a episode or two with a conflict of interest which end up changing his own personal future. Might get a tad boring if he goes off, saves someone's life, returns home to find his dinner on the table and his wife all happy about it.

What on earth has that got to do with anything?

Decent second episode really. Nothing too spectacular, but did enough to advance the overall story while also telling the contained one for the episode. Trying to work out if Olivia's been traveling through time since her death, or if it's a recent thing? Still carrying a rather large torch for Dan obviously, and since it's been years, seems a little suspect. The frustration thing from the wife could get old fairly quickly, had really hoped that last weeks climax would help put an end to that, but we'll give her a few weeks to get up to speed and stop the bitching.

Just seen episode 2 and really enjoyed it. Not sure it was because it really was good or because I'd just watched the 2nd episode of Chuck which was such a waste of time.
The wife stuff in Journeyman is getting old already, but at the same time it could be so much worse. She's not had wild unreasonable rants at him yet, which I'm taking as a good sign of a more viewer-friendly melodrama if/when they do have a big break up.
The segments where he's back in time are just great, I love the whole concept of him being recognised from a previous trip. I think it stems from the lead actor just being really good and wholly watchable.
Liked how they cleared the whole car issue up with a neat sentence too. Did he get headaches in the first episode or was that introduced for the second one, when they realised how impractical it'd be to have him getting into isolated situations so he could 'journey' again?
Yeah, liked it.

Headaches were established in the first episode/pilot, I remember some folks talking about "time travel causes brain cancer?" when this was noticed in the pilot a while back.

Ok episode last night. Learned a bit more about Livia in that she was time traveling before she met Dan. Dan also didn't seem too convincing when he said he was happy with his life when asked about it by Livia. It'll be interesting to find out where Livia is living at the current time, or if she's constantly leaping through time now.
Biggest thing that bugged me about last night though was that it seemed even more like a Quantum Leap episode. Livia helping to guide Dan through his task in the past, just like Al helping guide Sam through his tasks in Quantum Leap.
Hopefully they'll turn away from that, doing Quantum Leap but with added relationship troubles isn't exactly the show I was expecting after the first two episodes.
Fingers crossed the next couple of episodes start revealing a bigger picture as to how or why Dan and Livia are time traveling. Him going back and helping people with no reasoning as to how or why, while at the sametime dealing with his relationship with his wife is is all well and good, but it won't keep me watching.

Yeah, episode did enough for me. The good thing is that Dan seems to be learning his lessons fairly quickly, we are not spending episode after episode with him having to learn that *this* is what he is supposed to do, he cannot affect the past on a grand scale, etc...... Similar to the "Do I keep this from the missus?" decision he made early on, it at least shows that the writers are obviously aware that although necessary to the story, those points tend to annoy folks, making them switch off, so they are getting them out the way sharpish.
Was wondering if and when we would get an earthquake episode. While his travels so far have been limited to more easily creatable times (1960's to modern day) the 1906 earthquake might be a decent one to cover for a cliff hanger too, it decimated the city. His brother is a cuuuuunt, and Livia is confusing the hell out of me. She's been gone seven years yet seems to have problems with this, especially where her feelings are concerned. Perhaps with all her trvaelling, she's lost track of time? Either way, her feelings for Dan are still rather obvious. Nice to see Dan nip that in the bud too though. His wife gonna kick his ass though |

Good episode this week, especially the stuff with his kid. Someone definitely going on with that professor, just no idea what. The line about taking advantage could be good though, but also a bit dangerous for Dan. I'm guessing that gambling would be the best way to take advantage, but with his past problems, that's a slippery slope. Still, at least Katie stopped being such a whiny bitch
