It is possible to admit someone is the best ever, but still overrated.

Difficult, but possible.

FWIW i'd say Gerrard can be the best Currently, not of all time) and the most overrated. When he's on form there's no-one better, but it takes everyone about a year to realise when he's horribly off form - so thus gets overrated performances.

Xabi Alonso is underrated IMO. Even by most Liverpool fans. It's taken his prolonged injury for many to really appreciate what he brings to the side.
