Im juding it purely based on what I have seen of him, as I watch every Chelsea game my opinion would be biased as I dont see as much of other players, but this season when he was injured it showed badly. We where so unproductive from midfield, no one was getting into the positions that Lampard always gets into and no one was scoring the goals or getting the assists that he does. Based on that I think hes the best midfielder at what he does in the Prem atm.

Cesc will be there but just has to show that he can keep this amazing form up atm, as this season is when he has started to put goals in along with his immense passing.

Only my opinion though. :p

Ah yes, just dismiss someone as "overrated" giving no reasons as to why he's worse than Gerrard, good one. Pirlo is the best passer of a ball on the planet, his first touch is incredible, and he's lethal from set pieces, the only thing Gerrard can do is tackle better.

As for Kaka having no defensive abilities, he more than makes up for it offensively, I doubt there's a manager in the world who given the choice, would rather have an overrated English player who's never scored more than 10 league goals in his career than Kaka, one of the best footballers in the world, Gerrard just isn't in the same class, as soon as English fans start to realise that our players aren't actually that good the better, Gerrard is probably the most overrated player in the world, personally I'd have Lampard over him any day of the week.
