Depends whether the packages are available to all, problem is and i dont know the situation with England at the moment, but you need to subscribe to something else to get certain things you like but it's not available on cable, only dish or you need to commit, etc. I'd prefer to pick and choose things but obviously they want to get me to the point of paying for the lot or picking ... Grrrrr

Um yes loads of people on Virgin have cancelled their Sky Sports subscription because of the free Setanta they get.

| Of course it can.
The only reason it doesn't is that people won't switch from their service provider.
If you're not willing to use the system that allows you to watch cheaper tv, then why should you be allowed the same benefits of those that have? </BLOCKQUOTE>
if you have a smaller virgin package, and had sky sports too, its still gonna cost you more now to also get setanta.

| It's costs £9 a month to upgrade to get the Setanta (amongst others) package.
That is still cheaper than buying it outright.

| Virgin is cable. You can get some sky channels, like the sports and movies, at a premium cost of course. Some you cant get, like Sky one, which caused the whole debacle earlier this year i think when sky cut it from virgin.

Setanta will never match Skys dominance until they can offer their own full service, or they have to merge with virgin. As it is, they just offer the odd service here and there as an addition.
