Carew is nothing special.
I watched him play for Norway and was really unimpressed. He was anything but assertive and looked nonplussed in a game of tremendous importance. On at least one occasion, he had a great chance that went begging in large part due to his lack of commitment. Of course, they lost miserably at home to Turkey.

| I think some people were expecting more from him. I had a bet with my mate that he wouldnt score 25 league goals and my mate was fairly confident of winning.
For me hes looked well worth it - and is a Liverpool player i can tolerate/border line like.

Overrated: Shevchenko and Nugent.
Underrated: McCarthy.
Potential: Agbonlahor and Tevez (which is frightening because he's brilliant as it is).
All Time: Shearer, Andy Cole, Fowler, Cantona, Henry, Ferdinand.

Surprised at the amount of people saying Torres overrated, and also the majority claiming him the best arent from the Liverpool thread.
And fwiw, Eto'o > Drogba aswell.

| he is a couple of months into his first season, half of which he has spent injured. what we have seen so far certainly seems to suggest h was well worth the money, but it's impssible to say he is as good as drogba or rooney on such little evidence. i guess maybe the people saying he is one of the best are judging it on his la liga performances too
