I need some help with my laptop, I dropped it and the mains power seems to have gone slightly inside the laptop. I took it to two shops and both said I will need a new PSU. Which I can't find the right one anywhere on the internet.
Both said it is a difficult job so I won't be able to do it myself. The first one says they will have to send it to their warehouse and it will cost £100 and the second one, I think can do it instore and will cost £75 including the 25% off voucher I have.
That sounds quite expensive, does it really cost that much? Has anyone done it themselves? Any idea where I can get one?
if the pin has been pushed inside and you cant plug it in then it's a complicated job.
Involves removing the old adaptor and soldering a new part onto the motherboard. We charge £150 at work to send it away to a specialist so £100 isnt bad
