six years of constant overplaying every ****ing friday night has killed them. That and Guns n Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine. All three are hate hate hate hate hate. GnR are toss anyway but still.

I love it best when a song not many people will appreciate comes on, like if This Charming Man comes on or some Beatles. Always go crazy for Franz Ferdinand Take Me Out, oddly, think it's one of my definiing Uni songs.

So there I am, with four stunning girls - and all these men are absolutely desperate to land a punch on me at that moment. You could tell. One called me Potter, I am told. To be honest with you, I couldn’t give a stuff. Some of them came over to try and dance with them, but they were rebuffed. Not interested. I think I saw one walk out when the girls grabbed me and dragged me to the floor. Now, not for a minute would I consider that any of these girls would be attracted to me (whoever said confidence was an aphrodisiac?), but for those couple of hours I could dance with whichever one I wanted. None of them could.

Always felt 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' by Arctic Monkeys has defined my youth. In most people's eyes it's just a catchy tune and not much more but it's good fun to dance to and most of the best nights I've had have involved it. Including the surprisingly brilliant Arctic Monkeys gig at Benicassim. Just reminds me so much of great times, love it.
