As an exhibition match it was a success. There was a 80k crowd, there was a few goals and Beckham played the full game and scored with a free kick. There was a lot of mainsteam media interest in the game and in Beckham being in the country.
Obviously the quality of Australian football is much lower. I think we are attempting a similiar restructure at youth level towards more a technical skillful focus.
