if some geordie lorry drivers think they even begin to represent me or think they have the right to behave in a way that gives the impression they represent 'the silent majority' I'm with Cobbler..send in the riot police.

My opinion is that even if the price still rises, the demand isn't going to shrink.
Which can only mean increased profits.

One point which was mentioned last week by Portillo on This Week was that the govt. takes 65% (I think) of the price of a litre, so the oil companies are extracting, refining and delivering it all at c35p a litre.
Put into that perspective it seems that a pretty good deal.

If I could drive, buses would have to be almost free for me to consider them as an alternative.

£2.85 for a single fare into town, when it is about 4 miles, is just a joke. If there are 3 of you, it works out cheaper to get a taxi than the bus, ffs.

However, as I can't afford the initial outlay, i'm stuck with it.

Not in semi rural Cumbria it isnt.

£3 for a 10 mile round trip on the bus :o </BLOCKQUOTE>

Haha, it costs me £8 to get from Cardiff to London on the train. Madness.

Should have put it into a fund that puts money into oil companies like JPM Natural Resources. Gone up 40% on this year and around 150% on three years ago. £1000 put in 5 years ago would be worth around £8000 now.

Doesn't really bother me the price atm, I can afford it, I need my care for my appointments so I deal with it, being rich ftw

Four miles? What's that like a fifteen minute bike ride?
