I own an ipod and a HD3. I call them both by their names should anyone be bored enough to ask me what my player is.

It'll be the same with iPhones now, you'll start getting this people saying 'I dropped my iPhone!' rather than 'I dropped my phone!'.
Why mention the brand of it?
The fact is, iPod's are ruddy trendy, and in not calling them mp3 players, like the rest of the market are, people WANT people to KNOW they've got an iPod, or an iPhone, over a simple mp3 player or phone. Fact.

If I have pringles. I'll offer them to friends and say "Want some Pringles" and not crisps like i would for walkers and such like that.
Is that ok, or should i use crisps for everything now?

Fairly clear the thread was made to have a go at the ipod in the first place tbh. People let it go because the argument was fairly retarded and it was always likely to end in mud looking oddly bitter about people and their choice of mp3 player.
