What difference does naming your device by its brand have? The majority of non-iPod's are simply called 'mp3 players' and thats sufficient, so why does the iPod get seemingly special treatment? That's my point.

does it really matter? I'm getting an iPod for Xmas and will be calling it my iPod.
I'm also getting a PS3, but will call that my 'next gen games console machine type thingy'.

your point is crap. If someone owns a Dell they call it a Dell. Not a Standard ATX case with core2duo and half a gig of ram
