'Rumour' has become reality - Deus Ex 3 has been confirmed via Eidos Montreal's official website.
Confirmation is accompanied by a teasing teaser trailer which gives virtually nothing away.
"For centuries man has struggled to understand his true nature...", says the trailer voiceover. "What is it that makes us who we are?"
"Soon, one answer will over ride all others. Who we are is but a stopping stone to what we can become..."
First word on Deus Ex 3 hit back in May this year when the director of Eidos France revealed in a TV interview that the company was working on a third title in Warren Spector's critically-acclaimed Deus Ex universe.

Ion Storm's original Deus Ex is regarded as one of - if not the (it was voted best PC game of all time by PC Zone magazine) - finest PC games ever made. It rightly received a heap of plaudits when it released in 2000, and boasted an engrossing, twisting plot.
It combined FPS and deep RPG gameplay and dropped the amalgam of the gaming genres into a cyberpunk-esque world where cyber-enhanced secret agent JC Denton was on the trail of death-dealing terrorists.
The sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, never quite lived up to expectations.
As for Deus Ex 3, well, we're hanging around for details. Eidos Montreal's website says the studio is developing games for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii, but whether the third game will appear on all four platforms we'll have to wait and see.
Had the sequel for the 360 but never completed it. Wasn’t a bad game but the missions just got a bit repetitive and never made we want to keep going back.
Tried the first one when I picked it up cheaply but couldn’t get it to run properly on XP. No idea if it would run on Vista now.
yes, ion storm is shut down. no, spector isn't involved
this was announced at e3. they are bastards for putting the original music in the trailer and giving hope. but i am almost positive it will not be what it should
