Glyn comes from the actor/director Glyn Deerman. My mum just liked the name rather than anything to do with being a fan of his.

It could be worse - my older brother got the name Haydn from some swimmer or other and my younger brother got the middle name Damon from Damon Runyon...to go after the first name Karl.

I'm named after some Brisbane Bears footballer who, like Glyn, my parents weren't a fan of, just liked the name.

Decided to name their kids after notable british kings and queens. It's not as if their staunch monarchists either, suppose they were just quite traditional names.
