Hi,

This is the first time I've posted in the OTD forum, so go easy on me.

Having brought a new Laptop, firstly for playing FM'08 and secondly to upgrade my old Laptop. I was wondering what other PC games are good for playing on a Laptop. Sorry if I sound naive but I'm a console games player and only play FM on my Laptop.

So I've decided to use my Laptop for other games on the PC as i'm sure i'm missing out on a new world of gaming!!

My laptop is 2Gb RAM and 200Gb HD with a decent graphics card, etc.

So can anyone suggest games for me to buy??

Plus obvious things like joystick/controller as well??

I don't really think laptops are that good for gaming on. Mines is only a couple of years old and it was a nightmare trying to play the latest Settlers demo so I gave up in the end. Didn't even bother trying Unreal Tournament 3 on it as the previous version barely ran.

I would personally go for a desktop for gaming rather than a laptop. Be easier to upgrade in future as well.

I only play 01/02 on my laptop. Probably couldn't play much else even if I wanted to, but still, buy that.

Orange box/crysis/cod4. what kind of games do you like?

if you ahve a 360, yo can use wired controllers, or get a usb thing to use wireless ones

Civilisation IV, Sim City, Medieval II.

All of the above work well on my laptop, with a similar spec to yours.

Are there no decent strategy, mouse controlled type games that would be worth ago??

Seems a waste to just play FM on it!

I'm not fussed on game types to be honest. As long as its got great gameplay I can get into it!

Haven't got a 360, I've got a Wii. See I told you I was not hardcore!

I still love FM'08 even with its "issues"! I think the game is more than playable, but thats my opinion and I respect those who say its not playable.

Mainly playing World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade at the minute with my roommate. Loved RTCW as well but its dead now, still waiting for RTCW2
