Showing my age there.
And yes, the last episodes were crap. But I loved it when I was young.

That's not the ending I remember (possible spoiler alert)
- where it was an immersive game - and The Cat was really Dwayne Dibley and Lister was a Mayor or something.
|
That's "Back to Reality", probably the best ever episode. They weren't really back in reality though. They were experiencing a mass hallucination brought on by exposure to the Despair Squid's ink.
FWIW, I prefer the books over the tv show. Infinity Welcomes Safe Drivers and Better Than Life are two of the best reads I've ever had.

Looking on IMDB it seems that there is a bit of a debate about if they did get home in Dungeons and Dragons, loads of people insist they have seen they episode while everyone connected with the show insist it never happened.
Seems like there is an episode in Season 1 where they go home and then have to go back, that could be the one you guys are thinking of?
| Yep, easily. </BLOCKQUOTE>
it was a really sad episode as well, they all got back and were dead happy then the bad guy (whose name escapes me) followed them through iirc and they had to go back to save the world from being terrorised by him.

According to Wiki - the villan's name was Venger
Bit too close to Wenger tbh

Would also love to know what happened with Sliders, used to love that! And did Dream Team end, or just get cancelled?

I read that Joey (the appalling Friends spinoff) was just pulled off the air in the middle of the 2nd series in the US.

Yep - you're absolutely correct Serp
"Better Than Life" it is.
I've never read the books - was the series based on the books or vice versa?
A few tv episodes weren't very good imo - starting from series 4 I think.

pirates of dark water, and the almighty jayce and the wheeled warriors. both cruelly ended before their finales had the chance to reshape the landscape of animated tv series. immensely harsh.

| Wow!
I never saw much of that - it was always on really late (after midnight?) wasn't it?
Did Starfleet (the Japanese puppet series) ever reach a conclusion?
(I think it was also known as X-Bomber in the States.)
