Lads does doing a type of cardio aid fat lost in a certain area? For example Iv lost a few pounds more noticably on my legs/bum through jogging. But Id rather lose it on the upper body but i have read there is no way to spot reduce fat. But will swimming where the upperbody is more active be more helpful then jogging?

As you say there is no way to spot reduce fat.
However, by building muscle it gives the illusion of less fat. That's not to say you'll look toned. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Basically my regime is as follows.
40 min treadmill, then followed an hour on weights working arms and chest. I have a muscular back and shoulders so dont work them, which is the same with legs after years of football.
I was thinking to bring in a swimming session once a week to get a cardio which works the upperbody or would i be better just carrying on jogging and building my stamina for the new football season? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Even if you have a muscular back and shoulders I still think you should work them otherwise you'll get imbalances. An hour on just chest and arms is overdoing it. You don't need to spend that much time on two body parts
imo. After 40mins of cardio you won't be able to put in 100% effort on your chest and arm exercises anyway.
It really depends what you want. To be stronger and more muscular? To increase stamina? To be more toned? Then you can decide which training regime you should get into.
