imo you should do the every day at the gym thing that you first planned. especially if you're not planning on doing weights at the start, this'll just build up fitness and make it easier to do, and there's certainly nothing bad for you about running, cycling, rowing or swimming every day. it's good for you. don't start doing one on, one off until you do weights. and even then, it's quite possible to make it one day weights, one day cardio.

good luck with it all mate

I've just started back at the gym this week, second time today. Even though I'm not overweight at all I was getting really unfit so I had to ease myself in by walking to work and back for a couple of weeks first. I intend to go three or four times a week doing 20 mins of cardio and lots of light repititions on the weights machines to help me tone up.

Good luck with it tho BBB, Go us motivated people!

I've been going gym regularly since march '05, have probably doubled the wieght I could bench when I first started going

I need to find more excersizes to work the triceps and forearms though, as it's affecting my arm work that doesn't have the support of my chest, any ideas people?
