yeah, but the group stages in the wc tend to be **** easy to qualify from, meaning you can get off to a slow start and still win. whereas in the euros you need to hit the ground running, or you'll be out

They tend to be easier surely, but they are not that easy, as France and Argentina showed in 2002, the Czechs and Croatia showed in 2006.
