| The Euros is much harder to win than the World Cup.
England won't come close to winning a major tournament for at least 10 years. </BLOCKQUOTE>
How is the Euros harder to win?
You wouldn't have teams like Greece and Denmark winning it if it was tougher than the WC. </BLOCKQUOTE>
i think he means that in the euros you dont tend to get crap teams, whereas in the world cup you do
*cough*germany reaching the final in japan*cough* </BLOCKQUOTE>
Latvia was such a good team (EC 2004), wasn't it?
Who was the worst team in the last WC: Serbia & Montenegro

It's not, simply by virtue of being a shorter tournament. Also, we're likely to be a tad more suited to the climate in somewhere like the Ukraine in summer than, say, Brazil. And as others have pointed out, if Greece can win the Euro's then any decently organised team can.

yeah ok they got done in one game by an awesome team that screwed their goal difference, that made them the worst team. what about trinidad, costa rica, iran, angola, togo, saudi arabia and tunisia? they're not exactly footballing giants are they? ok, so the odd pap team gets to the euros, and there are less games, but the overall standard of the teams is definatly higher

The overall standard of the EC in the group stage is slightly higher, but the standard is lower in latter rounds.

I'm going to live for almost 60 years (Going by the current life expectancy), so who knows what might happen in that time.
Don't think it'll happen soon tho.

| PMLF spot on. And of course, there's one less of these latter rounds to get through.
