i think the whole "hate england because of the media" bandwagon is getting a bit tired now. We know you take great joy in seeing England lose, but why shout it from the rooftops?
The vast majoirty want England to do well, and a world cup win would be worth all the monginess from the media.
Mika, bbb and atkvkwad must have great little msn conversations where they slag off England :*****)

Slight spin off I suppose - do you honestly believe you will see an England World Cup win in your lifetime? Post #53

It does whenever England are playing. "will they emulate the boys of '66?" "lets see the spirit of '66"
Don't tell me that doesn't happen because it does. Every time England are playing you can without a doubt, gaurantee that somebody in the media will mention '66.

Shouldn't take long to prove you're right by searching some of the news sites then presumably, with some recent examples?

I think they'll win a major tournament, yes, but it's more likely to be the Euros really.
The Euros is much harder to win than the World Cup.
England won't come close to winning a major tournament for at least 10 years. </BLOCKQUOTE>
How is the Euros harder to win?
You wouldn't have teams like Greece and Denmark winning it if it was tougher than the WC.
