BBB - Imagine the media in Manchester if Man Utd won the CL. Makes you want success to never happen right?!
And for the original question, if we get Mourinho I believe we'll win in 2010

i think the whole "hate england because of the media" bandwagon is getting a bit tired now. We know you take great joy in seeing England lose, but why shout it from the rooftops?
The vast majoirty want England to do well, and a world cup win would be worth all the monginess from the media.
Mika, bbb and atkvkwad must have great little msn conversations where they slag off England :*****)

Don't tell me that doesn't happen because it does. Every time England are playing you can without a doubt, gaurantee that somebody in the media will mention '66.

England were not the best team in 66 so they could do it. Especially if they host it in 2018.
However, as more and more countries get better and better, in the very long run it will get harder.

Shouldn't take long to prove you're right by searching some of the news sites then presumably, with some recent examples?

England won't come close to winning a major tournament for at least 10 years.

How is the Euros harder to win?
You wouldn't have teams like Greece and Denmark winning it if it was tougher than the WC.

The Rugby and Cricket teams are progressing well, could well see another World Cup win in my lifetime.
Football - depends on whether the FA have any balls.
