I hope not, the media wankfest would make me want to gouge my eyes out.
Someone physically force you to read papers or watch the news? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Dont forget the 6 zillion threads that will appear on here if England did win </BLOCKQUOTE>
Doubt it. There'd be one thread, full of similar posts, but again, same in any country. What's so wrong with that?

Slight spin off I suppose - do you honestly believe you will see an England World Cup win in your lifetime? Post #22

Why would that bother you?
Surely you wouldn't be in here the Summer that England win the World Cup?
I'd like to see us win it tbh. Not bothered how , with who or where though.

wow, people so bitter and twisted that the thought of the national media celebrating the success of the national team is beyond their powers of comprehension.
pathetic really.
Celebrating is one thing, going over the top to the point of it getting tedious is another </BLOCKQUOTE>
Do you not think the media in every country on Earth would get a little excited if their team won the WC? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Yeah course they would, and its great to get excited and celebrate. But there comes a point when it gets too much and the media spoil it. Look how they went completly over the top with the Beckham/Argentina red card and Ronaldo getting Rooney sent off. I was fed up of hearing about it

exactly, why some people dont have the intellect or capacity to realise that supporting england in no way affects the support of your chosen club side and that you can do each equally without one affecting the other, puzzles me.
