Im a Villa fan, and have been since I was about 8 or so. At that age you dont really understand too much about the success of clubs, you follow who you want to, or like you you have missed out, who your family might support.

How many blues fans and villa fans have their parents following the same respective team?

Success is a tiny part if any. I went to see the Blues at Wembley years before I went to a Villa game and look, they were successive and won big shiny trophies!!!!

neither myself or Atvkwad are Blues fans because of this are we?

You need to take the blinkers off and realise how flawed your petty argument is! My best mate back in Birmingham is a Bluenose and damn I hate it when we lose, but I can realise we played like muppets and deserved it. This however seems something you just dont want to do!
**** it, read my argument for god sake would you.
Top teams, villa included, have a bigger fan base than teams such as birmingham because of the success they have had, there history, adn there status at the time. I can guarentee that if Villa were in our position a few years back and our history they wouldn't have as mnay fans. Why do these fans support the big teams? because there good, or better than other teams around them.
For crying out loud, if everyone in Binringham supported blues and everyone sfrom aston supported aston, how mnay fans do you think each club would have?
This is not the case though. And these glory hunting fans, deny it if you wish, dampen atmosphere and loyalty aswell.
Lets look at villa attencases this seaons shall we? You have had a mediocre start to the season, your home games you have been selling 29 000 seats, why? Because your playing badly. However, I guaretee that there will be a greater number of fans at the wIGAN GAME, NOW YOU HAVE BEATUS. It is these glory hunters, who come out from under their rock only during good days, that **** me of. Every club has em, but on different scales.
ffs ill even give you an exampl. This prat who I work with, after villa's loss the other week, claimed that he did not take an interest in villa anymore not so long back. However, today was a much, much different matter. And the fact that when he was growing up villa were euro champions, challenging for the league, one of the biggest clubs in the land, he supported them. Despite the fact that his family arn't villa fans, and that he does not live in Aston ffs. I tell you what, really loyatly there.

btw purse, i know exactly how you feel.

FFS stop being a mong. If that's the case then only people from Small Heath should support Birmingham City.

You don't have an argument, that's why no one's listening to you.

Whoever there parents support, or there most local team would be logical tbh. But obviously look at the success of United so they'll have much, much more fans.

well my dad is from Carlisle and supports them, so should I support them?

(I actually sort of do, they're my second team, and it explains why I was at that Auto Windscreens game... )
