Sounds like we won't be spending any money in january then. I can't see that we are going to get a better manager than Billy, so I really don't see the point in doing this.

Is it proper mutual consent, i.e. he also wanted to leave or got binned ? Silly. Not surviving whoever is in charge and more sensible to establish a squad that can get back up next season. Has brought some rubbish though, Claude Davis, Earnshaw, likes of Darren Moore in there. Hopeless side

I can kind of see the logic here. By the looks of it, Derby will get relegated with Davies in charge, so why not change him whilst the season is still young? Can't do any harm.

Shambles tbh. We over-achieved last season and Billy and the squad lack experience at this level. Should have stuck with Billy and prepare for a push back to the prem next season.
Can't see who would want the job tbh, although I wouldn't mind seeing MaCLaren back.

Because he's the reason we're here in the first place.
Watford stuck by Boothroyd (as has been mentioned) and it's the same situation with us.

Billy Davies is easily the best manager Derby could attract, by a long shot. Its an absoltely stupid decison imo, hes punished for getting an unbelievably average team up. Their loss, hell probably be swapping places with them next season with a new club.
