One book recommendation from me is 'A Long Way Down' by Nick Hornby. Bought this over the summer, can't remember why probably because of Fever Pitch, and it's great. I won't get too much into the details but it's about 4 people who meet up at a famous suicide spot and basically revolves around what happens to them. It's well written, hilarious in some places, and an enjoyable read.

I used to read all the time growing up. Now though, I hardly ever do, it's taken me about 9 months to get just over halfway in the Bourne Supremacy, including not reading any at all for the past 3-4 months at least.
If I do read, its mainly flicking through a few pages of whichever poker book is close by :/
I'll have to get down the library soon and pick up a couple of books.

Just finished a pile of Clive Cussler books, and am now reading Clarkson en masse. (Bought two on holiday and borrowed another one.)
I've still got Sir Matt's bio to read yet, too.

Finished reading Barry Trotter and the Shameless Parody over the weekend, pretty funny actually, worth a read if you're looking for some short, harmless ****-taking. Also finally got round to reading The Beach. Pretty much everyone says the film is a real disappointment and now I see why, after about 2 years.
Re-reading LOTR right now, because I have nothing else to read and in any event it's just a ffffb book.

Last books I read were The Time Traveller's Wife and A Million Little Pieces. Both highly, highly recommended by myself, but I'd like a recommendation re what to read now. May get hold of the MLP sequel, but I doubt it'll be as good.
Seriously recommend TTTW to anyone, as much as it may sound rubbish to you. It'll suprise you, not enjoyed a book as much for a long, long time.

Lord of the Rings is great. I didn't particularly rate the films, they were good but not brilliant. The novels are fabulous though. It is a lengthy read but Tolkien keeps you gripped throughout, veen during parts which could quite easily have become dull. I didn't read The Hobbit beforehand so it's not an essential read before you start LOTR but if it's Tolkien it will be worth reading.

That's just lies. The entire sequence in the forest with Bombadil drags immensely. Still a fb book though.
