I've bought the Vienna Symphonic Library along with Cubase 4, so I can produce some film scores, and have registered the software using the two USB security keys supplied. Only problem now is that, to free up enough USB ports to be able to run an external HDD and DVD writer too, I need to copy both licenses onto one key.
Syncrosoft (who make both licenses) have a License Control Centre, which you can use to do this, but every time I get to the part of the process where it communicates with their server, it claims it can't find an internet connection. Obviously there is one.
I've tried making an exception for that program in my firewall settings, to no avail. Can anyone think of any other way of getting the f**king thing to connect?
No, just my Virgin Telewest modem. USB hub might work, but the PC also doesn't seem to recognise 2 keys at once - it just ignores one of them - so I think I'll need to transfer the licenses onto 1 key anyway.
Really pi$$ing me off this, I've got squillions of pounds of software sitting here and I can't use the bugger.
