I really don't know why the papers bother - but the first Christmas TV Guides are appearing today.
Plenty still 'To be arranged', but The History Boys, 9pm Christmas Day, BBC2, is supposed to be quite good. Elsewhere, same old, same old - Three Men and a Baby is on again , Casper is on again as is Home Alone 2. Terminator 2 is on a couple of days after Christmas, which is always worth watching
The Motorcycle Diaries is on though, typically at the same time as The History Boys, so will probably tape that.
So far the only certain viewing is Match of the Day on Boxing Day and Christmas Day Corrie (Everyone else will want to watch it, I may as well not bother trying to avoid it).
A few years back, Five Live had an awesome '100 best sporting moments of the century', between Christmas and New Year. That was excellent, and it would be good if they do something similar.
Tbf, those films are on because they have become a type of Christmas tradition. Both the Gremlins movies will be on too, probably on Christmas Eve. Looking forward more to the Hogmanay TV, Chewin' The Fat and Only An Excuse please.
