Apparently some are coming round tomorrow over an unpaid bill from a previous tenant.
Not sure if i should act sarcastic or not. We've phoned Pipex numerous times to say the person moved out before we moved in, and sent them our tenancy agreement.
In fact Pipex supply our broadband, which makes it all the more strange.
If you are not the one with the unpaid bill then they can't price up any goods you own or that is not owned by the bill payer. You shouldn't allow them entry, if they threaten you with anything just call the police.
Even if you are the debtor, they can't force entry.
They need a County Court order.
Close your curtains - apparently they can "visually seize" anything in sight - note: seize doesn't mean they take it there and then, but they can get an order to take specific "seized" items.
As said: if you're not the debtor, then there shouldn't be any problem, and they certainly don't have the right to do anything against you or your property.

would that mean you could theoretically sell everything you own to a mate for 1p before they came
