You need to have proof the items are yours (receipts) else they can claim the items are the 'bill payers' because they are in the same household.

I remember hearing that ******** whilst watching some 'Beat the Baliffs' show on BBC1. It was fs.

I guess they know you've got a computer then.

You may want to hide it in the attic via a wireless router,
then dig out your ZX Spectrum and stick a phone line in the back.

We had a bailiff letter through the door a couple of months ago for the garage behind us.

Took the letter round to the garage and told them they had better sort it and heard nothing since.

If the bailif has told you he's coming round, contact him and tell him the person moved. If possible find a forwarding address and give that to them.

We had a similar scenario when I was at uni - the previous occupant of our house had unpaid bills, and they sent a letter saying the bailiffs would come round on a certain date. We called them, explained that the person didn't live here, we didn't know them and they should stop calling/writing.

They did exactly that. So call.

Unless they have a county court judgement against you and are being sent by the court, they do not have the right to enter your home.

If they attempt to get in, advise them that you'll report them for trespassing.

If they do attempt to enter you can legally beat the absolute crap out of them because they are trespassers.
