Default copying a piece of grass

Hi cheezehead,

If you have a specific blade of grass big enough, the first step would be to select it. You could use the Pen Tool to trace a path around it and then, at the bottom of the Paths use the Load path as selection button to load a selection. Another alternative would be to use the Polygonal Lasso Tool and carefully click your way around the blade to create your selection. Don't forget to zoom in on the image to make more accurate selections.

Then copy you selected area to a new layer. Layer > New > Layer via copy (Control/Command J). Once your blade is on a new layer you can use the Move Tool (V) and by holding down the Alt/Option key you can move and clone a new blade each time you click hold and move the cursor.

Will that do it?

Cheers!
