Really? Always thought the Aldi deals were good value and you couldn't build them much cheaper solo. Normally the response on here anyway.

The one I had a few years back was awesome really. Tackled everything released at the time easily.

you'd probably be missing out on a few minro things, for instance, you wouldnt have the n draft wirless network card, which most people wouldnt need, or Vista which your unlikely to want.

That deal doesnt come with a monitor either.

Value wise the deal is good for what you get. The issue being what you get might not be the best for your needs or the budget.

Direct from the manufacturer it is £83 cheaper, but the specs have a GeForce 8500 listed instead of an 8600

Had mine 3 years now and still going strong, the power pack blew on it about a year ago but apart from that never had any problems with it

It also does not have the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player and it only comes with a 1 year warranty instead of 3.
