Got a new PC for Christmas (Dad in Egypt for actual Christmas so got it early).

Anyway it's a 320GB hard drive but when I go into my computer it lists it as 127.90GB, now I've done diskmgmt.msc and it lists the other 170.10GB as unallocated.

What do I need to do to make it allocate itself?

Did you go into Disk Management and format the unallocated space?

I went into that discmgmt thing and partioned it.

Ryan never helps, convinced he doesn't actually work with computers.

Might as well put this here

I recently reinstalled windows but now my second hard drive wont work.

When i try and format it, wither in windows or in the windows setup thingy it goes to 100% (after about an hour) and then decides its failed and cant format properly.

Any advice?

Faulty drive. Replace.

Either that or the ide/sata cable is faulty, maybe try another cable.
