Hmmm, so you seem to have decided if the little tyke doesn't like the sport, to let them decide on something else to do.

Looks like i'm going to be a bad pushy Dad then

I'd want to see them stick at it for a while, to help them understand that if something is difficult or they don't like it, they shouldn't just quit (unless it was causing them a lot of distress!). Do you think that this could become a problem if they think they can just give up something they don't like or are no good at?

I have two of my own and two I inherited as a package with the missus, and all four are nearly as old as you.

Somedays OTF does make me feel old.

Well, if Brandon was quiting anything and everything just because it was hard work then that's another matter, but I'm not going to push him to do something he is getting nothing out of, just for my ego/staisfaction. World is a big place, and there are a million things for him to try, I'm sure he will find things he likes, and I'll support and help him any way I can.

I wanted to know, but the child was helping at all - refused to show it goolies or lack therof. Kind of like it went

As for age etc in the other question, we're both 36, it was planned, we've been together since we were 20 and financialy and house wise, we're sorted... So I guess it was a no brainer for us.

Elouise is now almost 17 months old and is turning into a right b!tch.

She has been walking now since she was 14 months old and has now turned to running everywhere, to get away from her Mum and Dad. She has 8 teeth with another 2 coming through, she loves most meals (especially anything we eat) from Ice Cream to Yoghurt to pasta to roast potatoes. However she hates veg!

She is starting to pick up lots of things now but she is only still at the stage where she can only say 2 words, so everything is Mummy or Baby. She has been clapping since Christmas, where she actually opened all of her gifts herself, she rubs her hands we she falls over and she now bites everything, including me.

Just watch out for those nappies when they are teething, especially at this age. 4-6 dirty nappies a day are not nice at all.

She has just started swimming lessons, which had a mixed reaction, she loves music and even has her own dance.....which I may show a video of. She also headbangs, but is a bit too vicious with the downward part so we don't try to encourage that anymore.

Oh and she has slept through the night since she was 4 weeks old.

Its great. All my crisises are behind me. The only remaining trauma for my life is making sure my daughters dont come home with some complete wierdo as a prospective son-in-law.

The axe and 12 gauge shotgun hanging over the door seem to discourage most though.
