what? claim on a product ive had covered by insurance when it legitimately breaks?

Not to mention that insurance companies from this evening will have been inundated with calls from people who also suddenly seem to have broken iPods.

The iPhone will likely be announced at the Apple Expo which takes place at the end of this month. Engadget seems to think the high end iPhone will have 16GB and 3G for Europe which is why they have knocked the price down of it in the US now. Makes sense really. Also Apple told them that would have news on the launch in Europe at the end of this quarter, which finishes at the end of this month, so all signs lead to something being said then.

anyway, I imagine the insurance company would reimburse you to the tune of the value of your used iPod instead of purchasing you a brand new one.

| bit **** if thats the case as i have a £25/£50 excess on any claims with that you'd expect a replacement not reimbursement would be the practice.

It varies from company to company. Some companies might even deduct wear and tear from the final payout.

i'm in the process of claiming for my broken iPod at the moment Jearm, they're going to pay either what I paid originally, or the cost of repair. no way will you get an upgrade, unless you're insured by idiots
