Torres
Drogba
Reina, Vidic, Makelele, Elano, Van Persie
| 4 liverpool players, and one on the bench, you should win the league then? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Most amusing part for me is where he sticks Gerrard on the right wing so he can shoehorn Alonso in ahead of Essien.

Essien
Overmars
Bergkamp
Henry
basically Arsenal with a smattering of Chelsea. not that interesting at all really. don't think it's particularly biased to suggest there's not a Liverpool player worthy of replacing anywhere there. Gerrard came closest. Hyppia at his best might scrape onto the bench, if it's a 7-man one.
| I'd go with that but with Gerrard in ahead of Essien, for now at least, might well change in a couple of years. I think you've got to do it for longer than 2/3 seasons to go in an 'all time' team, which is why I had Desailly ahead of Stam in my original team. Not sure about Petrescu but I can't think of anyone better. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Dixon ahead of Petrescu, there you go. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Rob Jones ahead of both of them.

Schmeichel
G.Neville
A.Cole
Rio
Stam
Beckham
Giggs
Keane
Scholes
Shearer
Cantona
Bench: Cech, Irwin, Adams, Ronaldo, Henry
Honourable mentions to Seaman, Campbell, Vieira, Zola, and Bergkamp, and probably more I've missed.
I've tried to pick the best team I can, which is why Henry is on the bench. He would possibly edge out either Shearer or Cantona on individual ability, but as a combination I think those two would be better than Henry with either of them.
Midfield picks itself, really. All great players, and a great unit.
A few tough choices in defense. Didn't really like having to pick Cole there. Maybe Evra when he's got a couple more seasons at United under his belt? Not that I'm biased, of course...

Any reason the keeper ran off? A particularly scary pigeon land next to him?

Best: Ronaldo
Underrated: Arteta
Overrated: Carrick
Potential: Richards
All Time - I'd put Cantona above Henry personally but it would be a close top 2.

You're going to be proven wrong many times over so stop digging.
Picking two games in isolation (one of which we won) is not the best argument.

He got it on target and it went in but it wasn't a great free-kick - an English keeper would have been hung by the press for missing that.
Off the hook? United were through anyway - does scoring this make amends for his pitiful performance in Milan last season?
