He tore teams apart in the world cup, world cup's a pretty big tournament iirc.

Look it's pointless. Ronaldo's only ever played in one big game in his whole life - the second CL semi against Milan - and he didn't perform, so empirically you have to conclude that he bottles it in big games, ok?

yeah the "how dare they say he's the best in the world, when I can name one player who I think is better, therefore they are totally stupid" argument. Apparently Ronaldo is no good because Fabregas 'allegedly' turns up in big games don't you know?

| Yeah, I know he takes it to far, but in my opinion he was right to bring up the Messi hattrick as an arguement against Ronaldo (there's a player that shows up for big games  ), Ronaldo is very obviously top 5, which means you can't berate someone for thinking he's number one.
Ronaldo has torn England apart twice, although I suppose they're not big games because we lost to Croatia...
