Is that actually any good?

Jim White manages a kids team i used to play for and my dad has been coaching at for about 20 years. My old man has been writing a book loosely based on his experiences of kids football for years now so he was livid when i told him White had churned one out and got it published no problem.

but the last 3 chapters of Pennant's book were worth the read.
Thought you meant Jermaine Pennant for a minute. It'd have been a bit of a p*sstake him releasing a book, seeing as he's illiterate.

Penthouse and Pavement by Bill Leckie is a great read. All about the wee teams and ignoring the big clubs. Seems to be pretty difficult to get a copy of it now though.

That Broken Dreams by Tom Bower was alright, but some of his facts are a bit dodgy. He reckons that Duncan Ferguson got stuck in jail because he bit Jock McStay If he can get something simple like that wrong then it leaves me wondering about some of the other stuff he says.
