Pointless was very intersting. it's about East Stirlingshire, the worst team in Scotland for many years.
According to 442, who did an article on their match with one of this season's very poor sides... can't for the life of me recall right now who they were (the other team won 2-0, East Stirlingshire were not at all happy with how the book portrayed them. Seems they feel they were shown to be very unprofessional and something akin to a pub football team. So they're now very wary of the media.
yea the writer was sort of hinting that the owner was a tw*t whose sole interest is try to sell the ground and made money. Whether or not the fans felt that way is another matter.
The bit which made me laugh was they paid their players only 10 pounds a week. and what they did was coolect all the cash from the gate on the match day and pay their player out of those, usually in pound coins!
Because of the book I started to pay interest in how they do. They are actually doing quite well this season.

Rothmans.
Slightly repetitive I must concede however.
title? </BLOCKQUOTE>
sorry, I was joking, Rothmans publish ( or at least did ) annuals of every season, so basically just filled with stats of clubs and that's it. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Renamed the Sky Sports Football Yearbook now iirc  </BLOCKQUOTE>

WTS.
Only other book of note that I have read (outside of plenty of the usual crap) is Bobby Robson's latest (about a year ago I think). Nothing special in it but interesting due to his longevity.
