BBC haven't any live football at all from next season (only euro 2008 games and presumably world cup games in 2010)

No mention of Ukraine because the rights to that are sold seperatly.

Traditionially away games are sold on a game by game basis, then 30 or so of the smaller FA's realised they get naff all TV money unless they are playing one of the big boys and formed a union to sell there rights of in one big package and split the revenues between them, Setanta have presumibly purchased this package and Ukraine are not part of the union.

Means in theory they have the rights to all of the home games for all of these countries.

The thing that strikes me with all of this is that Sky had to sell off some of their rights and to allow rivals to have a share in order to provide the fans with more choice. If I'm correct the E.U had a big say in this.

My point is though, if your a normal armchair football fan who wants to watch all the football they could pay their monthy whack to Sky and have everything needed. Because of this we now have to pay more money out to be able to watch our football.

Doesn't quite add up does it.
