Is it possible to get my external harddrive to be the J: drive instead of the F: drive?
Basically, I restored my computer and my external hard drive has now switched to the F: drive on the computer. However, all of my songs are recognised by iTunes as being on the J: drive, as per my old set-up. Is there a way around this?

Right Click "my computer" go to "manage" Go to Storage > Disk Management. Right Click on your external drive, select change drive letter.
