well best I've found is the Apple store, £159 with free engraving and postage, can get it for £150 from another place, but without the engraving, plus £3 postage. There is a 160gb available, but that'd just be too heavy and chunky for my liking.
there's only 23 grams difference in the weight according to Amazon so don't think there would be much difference in it at all. </BLOCKQUOTE>
really? what about size? 80gb is just about the maximum size tbh.
Plus it is £70 more or so, which is a sizeable a chunk, as it's a birthday present and I'd have to pay the excess, and I've not got much spare cash atm, I certainly can't see me using 160gb, so unless it has any other extras I'll give it a miss.
apple have the black one, I'm thinking of getting black anyway as scratches won't be as visible etc. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Supposedly they're harder to scratch due to the matt finish. This is my first iPod too, so I'm not too sure how bad the older models were when it came to scratches.
iTunes also requires you to keep all your albums on your laptop. Otherwise when it comes to synchronising your iPod you'll lose what you've deleted from your PC and vice versa

Also, if you've got the money invest in a decent pair of earphones as the ones that come with the iPod aren't that great.
Funnily enough, i heard people say this but when i got mine i thought they were ace but a few months down the line and they seem a lot lower volume-wise even when it's on max

I'm certain you can manual sync it so it doesn't automatically update for you. You'll have to drag and drop, though.
