How can anyone say Calzaghe should win? He fought a proper crap boxer in Manfredo just to gain interest from accross the pond to try and get American boxers interested, then when Hopkins comes calling, he backs out. Kessler is a good boxer, but Hattons wins over Castillo outweights both of them fights.

Funny how people can change opinion of someone just because other people/the media like them.
Quite pathetic too.

I'd say it has to be Hamilton, mainly because of the amount of attention he's getting everywhere.
Could be Hatton if he beats Mayweather, but it'd depend on how the voting is done. If it's all done on the night he might stand a chance, but if it's done in the weeks leading up to the awards then he won't have even had the fight.

Calzaghe should get it for me.
Hatton's fought nobodies or opponents on their last legs in general.
Hamilton will probably win it though we all love gallant losers in Britain

Also, the title of the thread just made me think that all the contenders should be put on an island Battle Royal stylee and whoever survives should be the winner.
Clearly the best way to liven up the awards.

| Manfredo isn't a nobody because he's been on the contender then? Same with Bika i'm presuming.
Castillo was a bit past it, still has more class than Kessler and Manfredo and Bika.

Not saying Manfredo isn't a nobody but that was all about improving his standing in America.
Least he's already proven he isn't scared of taking the best on.
Lacy unbeaten and vast majority of places had Calzaghe not to go the distance with him, he comprehensively destroyed him. Kessler unbeaten - Calzaghe wins again
