I've been there. The banana bar is a good shout for a laugh. But in general Amsterdam is crap unless you want to get stoned all day and hire a hooker. Oh and expensive.

Popular place to go next month it seems - I'm there for the 14th-17th. Booked up in a place called 'The White Tulip Hostel' on Warmoesstraat. Anybody know what it's like?

P.S. Although I'll definately be visiting the cafes, the main reason I'm going is to visit the Van Gogh Museum. Does anyone know if it'll be easy to get tickets on the day (Sat 15th) or if I should book in advance? (yes, I'm aware that I'm naive as to how popular it is/isn't)

in one bar we went into the barmaids were in bikinis and me and my mates ordered some drinks including tequilas. she put some salt on one breast, sprayed some lemon stuff on the other and told me to lick.

I said "you must be joking - hundreds of guys have licked them tonight" and took my tequila and went and watched some dude juggling / blowing fire behind the other bar. as I walked off she said "clever boy". :cool:
