Rep Power: 0 | Had a knee op earlier in the season so was out for 4 weeks. Ecuador then called him up and played him the full 90mins twice in 4 days, his knee swelled up again then needed to be drained. Since then it hasnt been right, keeps swelling up apparantly. Hopefully the international break (dont think Ecuador play) will give him time to recover.
Not too disappointed with Koumas tbh, Ok he doesnt tackle back at times but offers so much going forward. Just a shame we have no-one for him to play in.

i think we all had a problem with melchiot towards the end, he was arguably one of our best players, during the start of our relegation season, bought to give us a bit of compsure on the ball, but then as it all went tits up, he really wasn't that bothered, and, along with the rest of the team, pretty much gave up, looked generally uninterested and just showed up to collect pay packets. even so, i don't think there was an actual bust up, just a, 'yeah, you're not our kind of player, bye' sort of thing.
as for hesk, i don't think there was a problem there either really, he always tried hard, and was never going to come down to the championship with us, so he was sold, think brucie still likes him though.
so in conclusion, hesk, good, melchiot, arrogant bast, bad

See, I look at Wigan's squad and it just needs someone who can get them organised, hard to beat and to sign a couple of decent centre-backs and I genuinely think that can be ok. Im sure I said this in the thread about Hutchings being sacked.
I think Bruce is that someone.

actually i think our centre-backs are fine. Bramble has probably been our best players so far and Granqvist is going to be a star in years to come.
The problem we have with conceding so many is that the likes of Scharner offer them no protection with their constanst swanning around in midfield

Koumas >>>>>>>>> Greening.
I like Greening though.

Eric Black did a damn good job at Coventry before the takeover went through and was wrongly sacked, Birmingham might just have pulled a rabbit out of the hat there if it does happen like that.
