Played it all of this evening. Early impressions are that...
Dribbling's better (much better).
Heading's better (in that players you'd expect to win the ball generally do i think).
Passing's worse (too sluggish, and the lofted through ball's awful now).
Shooting's probably a bit better.
You still run alongside the ball too much and have to use super cancel.
The 'quick freekick' option would have been a great addition had it have actually meant something - in mine I pressed it and took it 'quickly', and they had a three man wall
Presentation is, as ever, pretty bad.
Lack of licensed teams is actually a bit rubbish.
I think the lofted through balls have improved. I always used to overhit them on 5 and they'd run through to the keeper.
I find you have to use super cancel less in this version and your players seem to be more responsive to what you're doing as opposed to where the ball is, but then I never had a problem with using super cancel anyway.
I love the dribbling. You can just feel the difference when an SWP or Robben is on the ball. SEXY TIME! i like to call it.
Player movement impressed me - quite realistic playing as England and seeing the likes of Neville making incisions down the wing.
Anyway, playing a ML game, and the pitch is covered in snow. I read reports of that happening on rare occasions on PES5, but never saw it myself. Wonder if it's more common this time.
