I had that. Though mine also wouldn't let me select a player profile(there was nothing at all on the screen) after putting in my password etc.

I'm really starting to detest the GK AI on the 360 version, Iker Casillas dropping balls that he'd normally save and it seems to be the same for a lot of the keepers - yeah it's good if it's for you and you score from it, but when the keeper fumbles, the defenders dont react and usually it's a goal
